Our Past Projects

COMMUNITY CAT DAY - 5

We nearly broke our record on 9/28/24 when we spayed and neutered 137 cats in one day at our 5th local cat clinic. Our record is 148! The best part- we were done by 4:00 pm! Many of the veterinarians and other helpers volunteer EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

SINT MAARTEN - 2

Our second visit to the Dutch side of Sint Maarten occurred in May, 2024. Veterinarians and RVTs from Ohio and Alabama joined forces to spay and neuter 250 island dogs and cats. The focus of this trip was to target the poorest areas of the island. This meant that the volunteers had to pick up and drop off many of these patients because the residents lack transportation. St Maarten trips require the time and effort of so many local rescues and animal lovers.

COMMUNITY CAT DAY - 4

Our 4th Community Cat Day took place on 4/7/24. Our volunteer team brought relief to 99 area homeless or low income cats, providing them with much needed medical care. Although it breaks our hearts to know so many cats do not have homes, we feel better knowing that we are making their lives better!

GRAND TURK - 2

4 Leaf Rover visited Grand Turk for the second time in October, 2023. During this visit, we hosted a second free veterinary clinic. We helped a total of 220 dogs and cats by providing spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, blood testing, and injury care. We also dispensed free leashes, collars, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

COMMUNITY CAT DAY - 3

4 volunteer veterinarians and 16 others joined forces to host the 3rd Community Cat Day on 8/5/23 in Ontario, Ohio. A total of 91 homeless cats from local communities were cared for on this day, including sterilization surgeries, testing, vaccinations, and flea/tick treatments.

SINT MAARTEN - 1

In April 2023, 4 Leaf Rover hosted a free spay/neuter clinic on the island of Sint Maarten, a place known for having a huge problem with overpopulation of homeless dogs and cats. We partnered with Dr. Eddie Lee, a Florida physician and animal lover, and several island rescues. 289 surgeries were performed by our veterinarians and trained staff. Half of the dogs we saw were infected with heartworm disease and/or tick fever. Free medications and preventatives were dispensed to anyone able to treat these animals.

COMMUNITY CAT DAY - 2

On 3/4/23, we hosted our second cat clinic in Central Ohio, spaying and neutering 117 feral, stray, and homeless cats and cats from low income households in one LONG day!

COMMUNITY CAT DAY - 1

4 Leaf Rover wanted to help our local cat overpopulation problem and hosted the first ever Community Cat Day in Ontario, Ohio in November, 2022. Our goal was to spay or neuter, test, vaccinate, and treat as many feral, stray or homeless cats as possible in one day. We operated on and helped 138 cats that day! Despite losing power for over an hour, we were thrilled with the results!

Grand Turk - 1

Our first trip to Grand Turk, a small island in the Turks & Caicos Islands, took place in April, 2022. A team of 8 animal lovers from Ohio and Texas traveled to this small island (which has no veterinary care) to help the countless homeless dogs and cats, as well as the animals lucky enough to have homes. We treated 289 animals during our 5 day free clinic, including a turtle with an abscess! We performed mostly spays, neuters, and wellness care, always stopping to take time to educate the locals on pet care.
